525 Artist/Designer of the Week

Danielle Callaghan is a freelance illustrator based in Scotland. Danielle creates work inspired by nature, music and writing. Always with an underlying theme of flora and fauna, bees, birds and plants are her favorite subjects. Danielle uses watercolour, Caran D'ache crayon and pen to make her illustrations, then works digitally to create layers and texture.

Using illustration, bookmaking and imagination Danielle aims to highlight conservation causes but at the same time, celebrate what makes nature so wonderful.

As well as creating beautiful prints, she also creates gift wrap, cards and stationary based on her illustrations, and is currently working on several nature inspired collections.
