525 Artist/Designer of the Week

This week's chosen designer is Antoni Tudisco. Born and raised in Germany, Antoni had always been fascinated by extraordinary things. He desscribes Adobe as his best friend. Inseperable in fact. But after a while he felt he needed to take a step up and experience new challenges and forms of art. He got into the technical world of 3D design and video, but self taught Antonio didn't give up at the first hurdle even though he struggled at first. And thank goodness he didn't as he is now a firm contender in the art world with clients such as Adobe, MTV, BMW, MINI, Wella, KLM and many more.

One of his most recent projects was the Almeida Theatre in London. Antoni teamed up with NB Studio to create four striking gold objects, each pertinent in some way to the production that they represent.

The new season is made up of four plays, which, as Artistic Director Rupert Goold explains; “…are in one sense a contrasting quartet – a controversial Shakespeare, a site-specific production of a major American playwright and two new plays by two of theatre’s most exciting writers. Yet in another sense, they are in dialogue, across centuries and across continents. In different ways, these plays ask the same question: How far are our lives defined by capitalism and its effects? And is it, to put it another way, really all about the money?”

See if you can work out which is which, the four plays are: The Merchant of Venice, The Fever, Game and Carmen’s Disruption.
